Donna Foley is a weaver and natural dyer and after more than 30 years at the loom, she is still utterly fascinated with the entire process. Donna began weaving in 1983 after taking an introductory class at the local community college. She was smitten with all things Fiber Arts! She found a used loom, bought a spinning wheel and a flock of sheep and Four Directions Weaving was born.

Donna received her BA in Art with a Fiber Arts concentration from SUNY Empire State College. By the late 1990’s she was showing her work in galleries and had begun her teaching career. Donna has taught children, teens, and adults at numerous art centers and conferences, including the Intermountain Weaving Conference and Convergence (2022). She currently sells her contemporary Southwest tapestries along with scarves, shawls, and other accessories through art shows, her website and at Wild West Weaving Gallery in Silver City, NM.
