Receiving a Bachelor degree in Art Education and Master’s degree in art education with an emphasis in fibers, Betty Kirk taught elementary school art for 13 years and taught Weaving at Joliet Junior College for 3 semesters. She has been a speaker and workshop leader at local guilds as well as at regional and national fiber conferences. Her work has won awards and she sells her fiber art at art fairs in the Chicago area.
